What We Offer
Counseling that honors your faith, your story, and where you are right now.
Every service offered at Joyful Life Counseling is built around one conviction: that genuine healing requires space for the whole person — mind, body, and spirit.
Primary Focus
For many people, faith is the center of everything — and when something goes wrong spiritually, everything else feels off too. This service is for those who want to deepen their relationship with God, reconnect with a faith that has grown distant, or integrate their spiritual life more fully into their emotional and mental wellness.
We work through questions of calling, purpose, spiritual disciplines, and the intersection of psychology and theology. This is not generic "wellness" work — it's grounded, intentional, and takes your faith seriously.
This may be for you if
You feel spiritually disconnected, want to grow deeper in your faith, or are navigating a major life question through a spiritual lens.
Adults · Elders 65+
One-on-one counseling for adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship struggles, life transitions, and more. Sessions are 50 minutes and tailored entirely to you.
Using a person-centered, CBT, and solution-focused approach, we work at your pace toward goals that are yours — not a predetermined treatment checklist.
This may be for you if
You're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like something is off — even if you can't name exactly what it is.
Faith-Informed · Whole-Person
With over six years in faith-based addiction treatment, Brian brings a grounded, non-judgmental approach to recovery. Whether you're in early sobriety, struggling to stay clean, or supporting someone who is — this work meets you where you are.
Recovery is about more than stopping a behavior. It's about rebuilding a life. Faith, community, and clinical support work together here.
This may be for you if
You're wrestling with substance use, behavioral patterns, or the emotional roots underneath an addiction.
Scripture · Prayer · Clinical Care
Biblically grounded therapy that integrates evidence-based clinical practice with Christian faith. For clients who want their faith actively present in the counseling room — not just acknowledged and set aside.
This may include Scripture reflection, prayer, exploring how your theology shapes your thinking, and addressing the spiritual dimensions of emotional struggles.
This may be for you if
You want a counselor who understands and shares your faith and can speak that language with you.
Safe · Non-Judgmental
For those who have experienced pain, spiritual abuse, betrayal, or deep disappointment within a faith community, this is a place to process what happened without judgment — and without anyone telling you how you should feel about God or the church.
You may still love Jesus and be furious at the church. You may have walked away from faith entirely. Both are welcome here.
This may be for you if
You've been hurt by religious leadership, a church community, or religious systems — and are still carrying the weight of it.
